Collaborative essay writing

The two women started writing tapestry poetry collaboratively via email. Collaboration Essay. Communication and collaboration is very important when working in teams. When everyone in the team doesn’t work together to meet a specific goal, the team will not succeed. Everyone in the team must understand that they all are not the same, nor have the same opinions, feelings, learning styles, or personalities.

Collaborative Writing Writing is considered a complex process that involves the selection of content, the use of appropri - ate linguistic features, and an adequate organization of ideas. Three phases are identified within this complex process (Flower & Hayes, 1980; Hayes, 1996; Kellogg, 1999; White & Ardnt, 1991): planning, editing, and revising.

Collaborative writing activities can start with brainstorming activities, followed by joint construction of an essay and then peer-review activities. In the joint construction stage, students can each draft a paragraph after jointly discussing and planning the content for each paragraph.
